…WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM EST THIS
EVENING THROUGH LATE SATURDAY NIGHT…

* WHAT…Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow
accumulations of 6 to 11 inches and ice accumulations of
around three tenths of an inch possible. Winds could gust as
high as 40 mph.

* WHERE…Portions of Northern Lower Michigan.

* WHEN…From 10 PM EST this evening through late Saturday night.

* IMPACTS…Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the
ice. Travel could be nearly impossible.

This Afternoon: Cloudy, with temperature falling to around 34 by 5pm. North wind between 10 and 15 mph.

Tonight: Rain, snow, and freezing rain likely before 1am, then snow, possibly mixed with freezing rain. Lows mostly in the lower 20s. Blustery, with a north wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New ice accumulation of around a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Saturday: A chance of snow showers before 1pm, then snow showers with patchy blowing snow after 1pm. Temperature falling to around 23 by 9am. Blustery, with a northeast wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Saturday Night: Snow showers with areas of blowing snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Lows mostly in the upper teens. Northeast wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of around 7 inches.

Sunday: Patchy blowing snow and a slight chance of snow showers before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with highs mostly in the lower 20s. North wind around 5 mph.

Sunday Night: A 30 percent chance of snow showers after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with lows mostly in the upper teens.

Monday: Partly sunny, with highs mostly in the upper 20s.

WINTER STORM WARNING FOR LAKE EFFECT SNOW IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM
TO 6 PM EST MONDAY…

* WHAT…Lake effect snow showers will increase through tonight
and becoming heavy on Monday. Where snow showers persist, snow
accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected tonight with an
additional 3 to 6 inches anticipated on Monday.

* WHERE…Leelanau, Benzie and Grand Traverse Counties.

* WHEN…From 1 AM to 6 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could become difficult due to rapidly changing
visibilities and slick roads. The hazardous conditions could
impact the morning and evening commutes on Monday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Gusty northerly winds develop Monday and
may lead to some blowing and drifting snow. Some lakeshore
flooding is also possible in the Grand Traverse Bay area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Veterans Day: Periods of snow showers with patchy blowing snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Highs mostly in the middle 20s. North wind between 5 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of around 3 inches.

Monday Night: Periods of snow showers with patchy blowing snow. Lows mainly in the middle teens. North wind between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of around 4 inches.
